The UC San Diego Mathematics Project hosts Summer Academies throughout the San Diego Region as labs where mathematics teachers deepen their content and pedagogical understandings with students.
Each Summer Academy site hosts:
1. A two-week experience with rising 6-8th grade students from underrepresented communities (sites will differ on targeted grade levels) where every teacher co-teaches collaborative mathematics lessons and then reflect and iterate on these lessons.
2. A professional development series for a limited number of participating teachers, led by experienced leaders in the fields of mathematics and mathematics education.
Coming Soon–information to apply to a 2025 Summer Academy!
